Non-Solicitation Policy

Confluence Philanthropy is not a funding organization, nor do we channel philanthropic capital directly to discrete individuals, investment opportunities or funds.

The Practitioners Gathering is intended to serve as a private space for foundation leaders and their advisors to meet and to strategize about the best use of assets in fulfilling their organization's mission. In order to retain the integrity of this convening we must maintain a strict policy of non-solicitation during and after the event. We ask that advisors and grantseekers not solicit Practitioner Investors unless invited.

Those who violate this policy will not be invited to participate in future meetings. Thank you for your support in protecting the intent of the Practitioners Gathering.

Photography and Videography Permission Policy

By entering an event or program of Confluence Philanthropy, you are entering an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. Although our programming is meant to facilitate discussions between members only and the external distribution of programming content will be limited, your entry and presence on the event premises constitute your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release of any and all recorded media in perpetuity in connection with Confluence Philanthropy and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, and promotional materials.

We ask all registrants to be vaccinated in accordance with medical guidance, when registering. We do not require that all delegates and conference guests provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19. This follows the change in federal and state guidance.

In all multi-party discussions,  it is essential to uphold certain guidelines regarding confidentiality and antitrust laws. We aim to create a secure environment for asking questions, but it is important to also show respect for each participant's business. Keep in mind that no one is obligated to provide specific information if they are uncomfortable doing so.

During the meetings, there should be no discussion of the following:

  • agreements to raise, lower, or hold present or future price levels

  • allocation of territories, markets, or customers’ restrictions on production, boycotts, or refusals to deal

  • selection, rejection, or termination of customers or suppliers

If any subject with an anti-competitive implication or appearance is raised at any meeting, those attending should object and request that the subject be dropped.

Additionally, during the meeting:

  • no participant shall use a recording device of any kind without express written permission in advance

  • the identities of all attendees shall be disclosed to all participants

  • Chatham House Rule will be in effect.
