LOGISTICS 

When is the conference?

The conference officially begins at the Welcome Reception on Tuesday, March 5th at 6:30 PM, and ends at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 7th (see below for information related to pre- and post-conference events). Working group meetings and an open space for networking will be available from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 7th. See the agenda for details.

Where is the conference?

The conference is located at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, NY. The address is 60 Furman Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Where do I check in?

The registration table will be located in the first floor of the hotel to the left of the lobby.

When can I check in?

The registration table will be open Tuesday from 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM, Wednesday from 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM, and Thursday from 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM.

Conference WiFi

We offer complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel and event spaces. All guests have to do is enter their email address and zip code then they will be automatically connected. No password is needed.


What to Bring

What is the dress code?

Business casual clothing is recommended for most sessions. However festive attire is encouraged Wednesday for the Evening Keynote, Plenary and Gala. There will be time to change before the Wednesday evening event.

What should I wear on the field trips?

March in New York can be quite chilly, especially along the Brooklyn waterfront, and there is always the chance of snow. We recommend bringing comfortable clothing that you can layer along with a winter coat.


Participation Policies

What is a Gathering Delegate?

Approved Gathering attendees are referred to as Gathering Delegates. Only official delegates are eligible to attend the Practitioners Gathering.

I am not a Confluence member. How can I attend as a guest?

Non-member investors may attend as guests. They must apply to attend. If approved, they may also register for pre-conference events, the Welcome Intensive and the Learner's Institute, with additional fees. Approved non-members are eligible to attend all regular conference sessions and events, except invitation-only meals and the Confluence Membership Meeting on Thursday afternoon.

The Practitioners Institute is open to Practitioner Investor and Practitioner Advisor Members only.

I am an Associate member. How can I attend?

By invitation only, Associate Investor members are eligible to attend all pre-conference and regular conference sessions, except for the Practitioners Institute on Tuesday morning. Please contact us prior to registration.

When are the pre-conference events and who can attend?

Confluence is hosting several special pre-conference programs on Monday, March 4th and Tuesday, March 5th. Registration is required to attend all pre-conference programs and additional fees apply. All members and approved guests are eligible to attend pre-conference programs, except the Practitioners Institute. The Practitioner's Institute is open to Practitioner Investor and Practitioner Advisor Members only.

Members and approved guests who register to attend pre-conference sessions on Tuesday, March 5th are also welcome to attend afternoon field trips. Advanced registration is required to participate in the field trips and space is limited. 

I’m not currently registered for a pre-conference event but want to join in. What do I do now?

Return to Events.com to create an account, using the email with which you registered. You can then log in and add or remove the Monday and Tuesday pre-conference events by yourself. If you have any problems, contact us at register@confluencephilanthropy.org.

I would like to join a field trip. What do I do now?

Field trips are included when registering for Tuesday’s pre-conference program. You must register for Tuesday’s full program in order to attend an afternoon field trip, regardless of whether or not you participate in the morning session. Advance registration is required.


Refund Policies

Conference Registrations: Registration costs are refundable until February 4th, but Confluence is unable to refund processing fees. Confluence cannot refund registration costs and fees after February 4th.

Hotel Reservations: When reservations are made, the Hotel will require a deposit equal to the room rate and tax for the first and last night for each reservation. Deposits are refundable if the Hotel receives notice of a cancellation at least seven days prior to scheduled arrival. Due to limited supply, please notify Confluence if you are cancelling your room reservation.
